May Missions Month

We continue our focus on mission in other parts of the world. One of our projects is supporting nursing training in Bangladesh. Louise Cadman and Ruth Lennox are going to share with us about the importance of training, the challenges and rewards of working in hospitals in this country and in Bangladesh.

As part of our support of Global Interaction (the Baptist Missionary Society) we pray for our people working in various countries and raise money for a number of projects. The other projects besides the nurses are in the mission insert in today’s bulletin.

We also have a special offering (Offering envelopes for Mission’s Month are in your bulletin) which can be placed in the regular offering bag anytime throughout May.

Our other fundraising events are:

Sunday May 20th  Curry and Casserole Lunch. All proceeds donated to our May Mission Programmes,

Sunday May 27th  The Northern Study Group will provide a special morning tea in aid of May Missions Month.

Saturday June 2nd  Concert to support Mesta women’s self-help groups in Jamalpur, Bangladesh. Tickets for this concert are $25 and we encourage you to bring friends, neighbours, family to what will be a good night.

There is a Sale table each Sunday in Mead Hall.  If you have any contribution you could make to this table for our Mission Projects please see Rosalind Gooden.
